Guardian Tranca Rua das Almas
His father, a prosperous Galician merchant, a member of the royal family's nobility, and his mother, a Franco-Galician with great influence at the court of France, had six children, with him being the eldest. From a young age, he received education from Italian priests and monks, learning, in addition to Spanish, Latin, Italian, and French.
In 1095, Pope Urban II declared the First Crusade, calling on European Christians to wage war against the Muslims and liberate Jerusalem, establishing a new church in the holy land. Against his family's wishes, he decided to join the Crusaders in 1097.
Upon witnessing the pains and sufferings of the battles, he began to question whether the path he had chosen was the right one or not. The Order of the Blue Cross, to which he belonged, noticed this wavering in his convictions and began to observe him with new eyes.
Along with the priests, these questions became increasingly frequent, leading them to send him into more intense battles, from which he would hardly emerge alive. On one of those occasions, he returned almost dead, being cared for by Franciscan nuns.
His family, who had no news of his whereabouts, sent an Arab merchant with his entourage — composed of slaves and guards — to search for him. The merchant, who was also seeking spices, found him and delivered a letter written by his family. The plan was for him to stay in the region for nine to ten months, finding and processing the spices, and later to return to his parents' city, bringing back the responses to the letters.
During this time, this Templar met the merchant's daughter, a dark woman with green eyes and peach skin. Over time, they became friends, getting closer every day, until they fell in love.
He asked the priests to withdraw from the Order, justifying that he had fallen in love and wished to return to Galicia to build a family. However, the priests, not approving of his relationship with a woman of Arab origin, chained him, invaded the entourage's camp, set fire to the structures and arrested the merchant's entire family. Later, in a trial, they accused the woman of witchcraft and burned her at the stake in front of her beloved.
The Templar won his freedom by promising that he would return to the Order, but he did not keep his word. In one night, he broke into the priests' quarters and killed them all. In his escape, he was captured in the port of Tripoli and taken to the city of Porto, in Portugal, where he was tried and burned alive.
Before his death, he requested a medal of Saint George, as he belonged to the Order of the Blue Templars. After his passing, he was welcomed by the messengers of Saint George, where he was assigned to work on the Law and Order of human beings. He acts in the opening and closing of paths, in the prosperity, health, and intellect of living beings. In Umbanda, he was given the name Lord Exu Tranca Rua das Almas for greater proximity to those in need. NEVER FORGET, A GUARDIAN OF THE LAW NEVER CHARGES AND NEVER ASKS; HE ALWAYS WORKS IN THE DIVINE LIGHT OF OUR ALL-POWERFUL FATHER!
